Neural network as spaceship. Algorithms of a digestive organ
Brain and intestine are in close exchange. The intestinal brain arises from the abdominal cavity of the human being. It is the size of a dinosaur skull in a museum. As a walk-in narrative, the installation opens up an opportunity to position oneself physically in the thinking space.
The digestive tract, originally located within the host system of the body, has outgrown it and becomes a reference system for the body itself in the form of a spatial structure. Is the human being housed in it or digested? Is he a nucleus in the cell, an organ in the organism, the control centre of a spaceship or a foreign body? Is he an embryo in a womb?

We breathe in time with the intestinal brain. Our behaviour is fed by a digestive system. When we are full is decided by bacterial strains. The immune system of the brain depends on it. Our primal instincts function through the cooperation of brain and gut. The first living beings a billion years ago were digestive systems.
Visitors find their place in the cavities between the cavities of the autonomous organ. World-space journey: Now humans can investigate the existence of their own digestive organ. Between familiarity and alienation, the question of artificiality and naturalness arises in the technical organic. There are plants that strangle the host strain until it dies and the parasite remains as an empty shell. What distillate does the digestive act of the intestinal brain create?

Gehirn und Darm stehen in engem Austausch. Aus dem Bauchraum des Menschen entspringt das darmhirn. Es hat die Größe eines Dinosaurierschädels im Museum. Als begehbares Narrativ eröffnet die Installation eine Möglichkeit, sich körperlich im Denkraum zu positionieren.

Der Verdauungstrakt, ursprünglich innerhalb des Wirtssystems Körper verortet, ist ihm entwachsen und wird für diesen selbst zum Bezugssystem in Form einer Raumstruktur. Wird der Mensch darin beherbergt oder verdaut? Ist er Zellkern in der Zelle, Organ im Organismus, Steuerzentrale eines Raumschiffs oder Fremdkörper? Ist er Embryo in einer Gebärmutter?
Wir atmen im Takt des darmhirns. Unser Verhalten speist sich aus einem Verdauungssystem. Wann wir satt sind, entscheiden Bakterienstämme. Das Immunsystem des Gehirns hängt davon ab. Unsere Urinstinkte funktionieren durch die Kooperation von Gehirn und Darm. Die ersten Lebewesen vor einer Milliarde Jahren waren Verdauungssysteme.
In den Hohlräumen zwischen den Hohlräumen des autonomen Organs finden die Besucher*innen ihren Platz. Welt-Raum-Reise: Jetzt kann der Mensch die Existenz seines eigenen Verdauungsorgans untersuchen. Zwischen Vertrautheit und Entfremdung stellt sich die Frage nach Künstlichkeit und Natürlichkeit im technischen Organischen. Es gibt Gewächse, welche den Wirtsstamm würgen bis er abstirbt und der Parasit als leere Hülle erhalten bleibt. Welches Destillat erschafft der Verdauungsakt des darmhirns?
